Himself came up trumps this morning with the book by Denis Cotter. Full of anecdotes, gorgeous recipes, all about growing, gathering, eating - he knows me so well! I also have a steel to improve my kitchen knives, gardeners' soap and a little book of gardening quotations. The small tile plaque on the left is quilts on a washing line (and inquisitive geese!) Some friends also know me well.I have just put my self-saved sweet pea seeds to soak with a view to planting tomorrow. I also hope to visit a garden centre (or two!) tomorrow to suss out their 'wigwams' so my new climbing beans can climb in splendour!
