Wedding - Part 2

The new Mr and Mrs. This pictures show the height difference! And he's STILL got his hands in his pockets - I blame the parents!

At the reception - sharing the first slice of pie. NOW we know who ate all the pies! This dress is the one bought for their combined Hen and Stag nights. They decided that as all their friends were mutual they'd combine the two and have a Hag Night!

The most unusual 'Wedding Cake' I've ever seen! Shortcrust pastry and local outdoor reared pork slaughtered and cured on the farm. These pies were reported in The Guardian to be amongst the finest in England. I've not tried them all of course, but this one was certainly a cracker.

More lovely photos. What a unique wedding 'cake', why not? It certainly looks delicious.

The cake is priceless, certainly a unique wedding. How often does Jim get asked how tall he is? I was in the PO queue the other day with a huge guy in front of me, poor chap had his ear bent by some women "you're a big lad aren't you", etc, etc. As if he hadn't noticed LOL!!

He does often get asked his height Ali. The best ne was when he was still living at home (and still growing!) and was about 6ft 4". We were in a supermarket and the security man said "How big are you lad?" "Six Four" replied Son. "Do me a favour then, and don't nick anything!" said the approx 5ft 10" guard.

Love that cake idea! Bet it was scrummy too. Not sure the top tier will keep for a few years like the tradition says tho... ;)

Someone suggested that the tradition was to keep the top for the first child's christening. "B*ll*cks to that!" said Bertie Wooster!
