Flower classes
We had a guest teacher on Thursday, a young florist named Abbie, and she showed us how to produce and hand-tied bouquet, held in a cellophane wrap with a water bubble in. This is a means of giving a bunch of flowers as a gift without messing about with vases or oasis blocks. The flowers stand very nicely in the water bubble and as long as you keep it topped up (by pouring through the flowers) it'll keep as long as in a vase of water. It now looks completely different as the dozen daffodil buds in there have opened. It smells gorgeous too. There's lavender, as you can see, the roses, and now the daffs. I shall be doing this again in the summer with garden flowers.
Hi Kath I'm doing a flower arranging course at the moment too although have struggled a little with the hand ties and wiring techniques. Can't WAIT to use flowers from my own garden in summer! You enjoy, love your blog by the way
